There haven't been many totally clear days this summer, normally at least a few fair weather cumulus or streaks of cirrus.

But today has the most stunning clear blue sky and non stop hot sunshine.

Calm and temp 25c :) .

A beautiful evening with a virtually clear blue sky,just got back from Edinburgh where it was warm but rather cloudy.Current temperature 24.4c,humidity 43%, wind light WSW,barometer 1016 mb and falling slowly.

A lovely clear evening with stars but a slight haze and fog over the moors. Quite muggy as well. 19C.

Report for Wednesday 17th August 2005, Readings taken at 23:55.

After a foggy start, it was a mostly sunny and pleasantly hot day, though cloud did build for a while in the early afternoon. In the afternoon sunshine it reached a high of 26.3°C, the warmest since 17th July. Last night was comfortably cool aswell, meaning just like Monday there was an impressive diurnal range of 14.0°C. Although hot during the day, there was a moderate to strong south-easterly breeze which made it feel much nicer.
