If any of you were on the BBC boards last autumn you would have know that I kept a record of the weather and temperature for cities in central and eastern europe. Basically to see how cold it was to the east of us. Well this autumn I am going to bore you with temps from Greenland. Here goes...

    Summit:

    temp: -26c (-15f)

    wind: calm

    weather: unknown

    Nuuk

    temp: 7c (45f)

    wind: 10mph SSW (windchill 4c)

    weather: light drizzle and fog

    Narsarsuaq

    temp: 10c (50f)

    wind: 10mph ENE(windchill 8c)

    weather: light rain.

I will reply to this thread every day and update it. If its merged into another thread I will do the same.

    Regards

    WBSH

Also interesting to note that this years September average for summit is currently 3c lower than the whole average for September last year...

Probably doesn't mean to much in regards to winter at the mo but a colder Ice-cap means colder N'lys! ;)

indeed, the SST's just to the east of Greenland is actually about average, maybe even slightly below in places which is in stark contrast to last year where we had Anomlies upwards of 3-4C in that area,so it makes a change to recent years in that department!!

Anyway thanks for doing this WBSH,indeed do please keep it up.
