That north-easterly wind has picked up throughout the afternoon, and the drizzly rain has continued...getting heavier and turning to very heavy drizzle and gusty winds.

Temp. is only at 13C here....my prev. reading at 16C was in fact, an error.....sorry guys.

Quite humid and muggy here NW London.

Very hard rain here at the minute. Drains struggling to cope with the amount of water falling. Dare say it wont last long.....

Isn't it just great living in the North East when the weather is like this PP? It is now 18-40 and it continues to rain quite heavily,current temperature 12.6c,humidity 98%,wind light to moderate easterly,barometer 1014 mb and steady.

We currently have electrical storm crossing my area plenty of light and noise, no rain as yet storm been in progress for 30mins.

we have rain now at 1743bst still storm in progress

UPDATE 2

storm has passed by now stopped around 18.00 rain stopped soon after still very muggy though.

ITs still raining after about 18 hours :D

Evening Don, the radar now shows it clearing but it is still coming down,I don't think it will help the toon tomorrow and it has put paid to any golf as well. Still the week as a whole was very pleasant so perhaps we should not complain.

A layer on altocumulus, virga and mammatus after a lovely sunset. Was sunny and warm all afternoon but should get some thunder and rain within the next 12 hours I hope. 18C

Report for Friday 9th September 2005, Readings taken at 23:55.

After a cloudy night the morning was bright and sunny and felt very pleasant indeed. Cloud built into the afternoon however and before long it became totally overcast. The evening remained overcast but saw the arrival of thick fog, with visibility below 100 meters at times. Overall, another well above average day, both by day and night, continuing the trend of the warmest start to September I have ever recorded.
