We had a couple of fairly heavy showers 2 hours ago and since then clear and sunny.temperature 17.1c,humidity 62%, wind light to moderate SW,barometer 1006 mb and rising.

The showers seem to go around Durham and head towards Newcastle these days.

4 or 5 years ago that didn't use to happen.

What has happened to the climate...has there been some form of 'shift'?

16.0C, clear, wind from the SW.

An interesting weather day with the Occluded front giving an hour of fairly heavy rain. This cleared fairly rapidly to replaced by a clear spell before the Cumulus bubbled up to Mediocris stage.

Light rain overnight amounting to 3mm

Mostly sunny today with two very lgith showers amounting to 0.5mm

Currently cloudy and cool now with a shower to the south and north. None over here! 13C

Report for Sunday 25th September 2005, Readings taken at 23:55.

A dull and wet start gave way to sunshine and showers, some heavy at times. In the sunshine it felt warm, reaching 20°C in the afternoon. There was a chilly wind however, making it feel cool at times, especially during the showers. Overall, another above average day temperature-wise, keeping the September average extremely high.
