Well 5th Frost on the trot now following on from Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat Nights, cannot remember when we last had 5 consecutive frosts in Essex.

Wed Night -0.8c

Thu Night -1.8c

Fri Night -1.9c

Sat Night -2.3c

Currently -1.2c with clear skies

Isn't my fault Asda only had the 36p ones, I've got a nice replacement one now, looks slightly less 'cheap', I think it might last a few days.

Fifth night of frosts, although last nights was the least severe of the past four. Air temp went down to -1.9c and ground temp to -4.8c. current air temperature at 1140 is 4.3c

The fog cleared late evening leaving a clear night. Min was -6c again and a very severe frost. The trees this morning really looked like snow had fallen after 48+ hours of freezing fog. So far it has melted in the sun but all shaded areas are frozen solid and white , including icicles.

5th night of frost here too. since saturday it has been sticking around all day in isolated spots. there is a discared piece of cardboard in my front garden (bloody foxes!!) which now has a thick layer all over it. it's been building up over consectutive evenings and must now over 1cm thick.

7 in a row here too, with a minimum of -3.8ºC half an hour or so ago.

Overnight low of -1.6C, although all frost had melted due to low cloud and mist at 6AM.

Temperature got down to 0.6C this morning which left some Ice on girlfriends car at 730am, although when I left for work just after 6AM there was no Ice and temperature was 2.0C.
