It's interesting to see that most of Europe has cooled down as well as us- I'm also quite surprised that it's cold over Greenland as well as here!

These figures tell me that the temperatures displayed on the site http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/map/images/fnl/sfc...er_01b.fnl.html

are probably not entirely accurate.

Scandinavia should be well above average according to that... and they clearly aren't.

Hmmm! after looking at the charts you have posted up TWS they show quite sizeable anomolies in access of 5C+ plus over the Scandanavian region over a 1 day period which I have to say is probably in excess although Helsinki, Murmansk have been milder on the day mentioned. The temps I have recorded daily come from the mentioned web-sites any anomolies between the two and a 'middle ground' is met although this does not happen regularly and differences minimal. The average Max temps (in brackets) are taken from 'go europe' website on climate information and to me look reasonably accurate so I have reasonable confidence in this information/figures provided to be reasonably correct.

Hope this clears things up to a certain degree.

Timmy
