I third that. Nice sunny day here, if a little breezy.

Temp's here are not quite at 16C, but getting there at 15.5....quite a gusty breeze from the south developing.

Temperatures in the south-east could reach 22C in London, with possibly 23C in local parts of Surrey.

hi

Well what a beautiful day it turned out to be.

Soon sunny, still sunny, and a mx of 20.7C

Only 3 other occasions, in my back garden, has it beaten that value in October.

22.3C on 1st October 2002

22.0C on 11th October 2001 and 1st October 1997.

Started recording in late December 1996.

Mind you the record for this area is 27.7C, at Finningley, 1 October 1985.

regards

John

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
