I think the wind is making the rain miss the collection thingy :) must have dropped about 3 or 4mm been raining since about 2pm and still raining though not heavy.

well just got back home and wooooooooohoooooo the rain is coming down in bucket loads roads are defo flooded, didnt know if i was driving down a river or a road.

Heavy rain from about midnight until 1015 this morning. Persistent light-moderate rain or moderate-thick drizzle from 1015-1600. Thick fog from 0700-1115 and again at times this afternoon.

The rain eventually cleared by 1630 and vis' increased to excellent.

Can't say I am surprised - it was forecast and they did get it right ! Tipping it down here really heavy and has been since about 5pm. Strong breeze as well.

Report for Monday 24th October 2005, Readings taken at 23:55.

A wet and windy but mild day. It rained constantly up until the afternoon and early evening when it was dry for a time, though the last few hours have seen the rain return. It was very windy later on with gusts above 30mph, but it felt mild, reaching 16.1°C, quite impressive for the time of year. With 15.5mm of rain today, it was the wettest day for some time and also means a months rain has fallen in the last 6 days.
