Yesterday I went to Poulton Le fylde and in 3 hours it had rained 6mm under the cloud the scud trails were slowly rotating and the eind direction was changing from SW to SE

Just absolutely hammered it down with rain here in Bristol for a few minutes! With some very blustery winds as well.

Rain bouncing off the roads and pavements, and the sky became very dark indeed, even though it was 16:00 pm! Brightening up markedly now, for a time before the Sun sets in about 15 minutes or so.
