Quite a scary thunderstorm in progress here at the moment, very close and very loud. Lightning is forked type and shooting right across the sky.

Car alarms sounding and pets howling

A flash of lightning and a huge crack of thunder as I filled my acr in Bridgend. Also a flash as I was driving to the garage.

Just got back to Kenfig hill and a flash of lighning here too, but with the volume I play my music at, I wouldn't have heared the thunder that went with it. I guess it means that either it was a 7 mile long+ storm, or there's a cluster of storms in the area.

I too heared a car alarm that had been set off at an isolated house halway between Laleston and Stormy Down (a very apt name that )

I witnessed this storm or a storm because it was later but I could see lightning flashing on the other side of the channel about half 4 AM
