What a horrible day, I think I'll cancel the mini firework display I was going to have; was awoken at 5:00am by rain being smashed against my window and very gusty winds, I'm just going to sit here and sulk all day.

'Horrible' day?

Don't think so mate. An entirely relative and emotive term methinks. I think that such a downpour and gusty winds is quite an enjoyable phenomena.

No such thing as a horrible day. 'Tis mercy for the plants and the animals, as well as another day of being alive.

yesterdays is was classeec bonfires weather. cold and drys! lovely bitterly types day!!

today is the very wet and windys out theres and leetle cold iswells. not as cold as yesterdays tho! :(:)

Just heard a very quiet, very low, grumbly long rumble of thunder to the southwest and looks like a line of a shower is coming in. Winds are picking up too.

Have been walking with my son from Surfleet to Thurlby in Lincolnshire today, along the Macmillan Way, the weather was:

heavy showers with a constant strong SW wind with rain in the wind all day.

Clouds broke for a spectacular sunset at about 4.30pm.
