here cloudy after some rain a couple of hours ago, temp low of 9.5c its now 11.4C with a wsw 5-8mph wind. Unlike the far north the max here was 23.0mph just after midnight.

I spent 12 months at Sullom and the Observatory in 1984-5.

I think the max I saw was about 65knots at Lerwick and 70kt at Sullom in that time. Sure is a windy place and not surprising there are not many trees!
