12z 16z 18z 0z.. What Do They Mean?

The date on the left is the date at which the model was run and the date on the right is the date the chart is for.

Sun,20 November 2005 12z --- Mon,21 November 2005 18z

This would mean that the chart was run at 12:00 on 20th November and the chart is for 18:00 on the 21st November

I thought z was for zulu time, was when I was in the raf anyway. Used to pass the met forecasters upstairs all sorts of junk that made no sense to me!
