at 3.30pm had the most enormous ominous looking jet black sky come over with CB's. Produced really gusty winds and a constant "downpour" of hail. This front i guess it was, was almost tornadic :) If only it had some rotation.

Complete shame i didnt have a camara handy!

was picking the daughter up at 1515 and had your storm here too. when i left home it was sunny and bright 15 minutes later it was black and wet. the wind took off all the leaves from the trees that should have fallen by now but had hung on with the mild start to november :)

According to BBC Local travel news website, a tree was blown across the road at Holt Heath near Droitwich Worcs

    Line Squall or tornadic.

Here in NW London it arrived at 15-15 and lasted proper, around 5 mins. It also fetched a huge cloud of leaves

off the trees (very spectacular) came off in swirls!!! (sorry, camera 100m away inside) I was outside!!!

I placed a bet that it would stop raining by 15-45 & stars would be visible by 18-00 I am now £5-00 better off!!!!

I forgot to add about the very noticable temp drop between 15-00 & 16-00

precipitation was heavy rain and rice size hail (graupal)
