Lovely day after some foggy and low cloud at the start of the day. Temperature got up nicely to 8C but now down to 5C and cloudy again.

Yeah moderate rain now in Aberdeen, must be the cold front heading south. The enevitable high temperatues which normally preceed colder weather should decrease from now on although it is currently a balmy 11° with a strong W wind.

Hi ZL

Yes temp has gone up here slightly since my last report - now 5C but wind is now flickering between W & NW and is beginning to pick up, rain has stopped and the ground is drying out. Thick cloud has gone and you can now see the moon through thin cloud. Hopefully this means were now in the transition to the colder weather. Local forecast says we should start seeing snow showers from about midnight onwards with a covering of snow ehere by about 6am. Hopefully!

:p

Report for Thursday 15th December 2005, Readings taken at 23:55.

An interesting day to say the least. After a calm and clear night it was a sunny day with variable amounts of cloud. The wind was a large feature of the weather, with sustained speeds of up to 20mph despite not being forecast. This evening has seen the wind speed increase further, now reaching a sustained 24mph with gusts to gale force. The last few hours have also seen a fast increase in the temperature, meaning the day ends exceptionally mild.

Current Temp: 10.7°C

Max Temp: 10.7°C (Current)

Min Temp: 3.5°C (at 1:31)

Humidity: 82%

Min Humidity: 79% (at 15:14)

Pressure: 1007.9hPa (Falling Rapidly)

Dewpoint: 7.6°C

Wind: WNW (21mph) Gusting to 35mph

Rain Today: 0.0mm

My December average currently stands at 5.6°C (+0.5°C Above the 1971-2000 average).
