A day of typical anticylonic gloom. It was overcast, reasonably mild and calm. It was also mainly dry, aside from a few spells of light drizzle which amounted to nothing much. Overall, just above average for the time of year, as slightly clearer skies last night allowed the temperature to fall.

The weather here is abnormally warm. Today (meaning 22 Dec) we set a record high of about 14 C and it is still 10 C at almost midnight. There was even a thundershower in the area around sunset. No change expected for several days as we stay in a strong SSW flow. Around here they call this the "pineapple express" because it comes from Hawaii.
