We had a sprinkle of snow overnight only about 3mm but still managed to settle.

When I got up at 5.30am it had already stopped. Very small dry grainy pellets.

Frosty and cool still just creeping above freezing. Partially cloudy sunny with the

odd bank of low dark cloud floating over.

Showers started coming in off the North Sea from 8:30am onwards, starting with a 1-minute hailstorm. There were sleety showers between 9 and 10am, and then snow showers between 10 and 11am, with the temperature around 3C during sunny intervals and 2C during snow showers, indicating that colder air is continuing to dig in.
