A mixture of sunshine and hail/snow showers. These were few and far between until the evening, when more prolonged snow showers moved in. None of these laid until the last few hours, but the temperature has fallen sufficiently to allow the latest showers to leave a covering around half a cm deep. Overall it was well below-average for the time of year temperature-wise, feeling bitterly cold earlier on in a strong north-easterly wind.
