Just started snowing heavily now, ground quite damp so I doubt it will settle.

Hi Everyone,

I have just had the pleasure of driving from Lamberhurst in Kent to Lindfield, West Sussex over the Ashdown Forest. It was lightly snowing in areas like Wadhurst and Crowborough which both had 3-4cms of snow.

As soon as I neared the western edge of Ashdown Forest, temp jumped to 2oC and not a bit of snow anywhere!

Currently in Lindfield, it is 1oC and sunny. Wind is very light.

Snowed here in SE London, around 9.50, lasted a shortwhile, enough to settle and cover paths. A pleasure to see, most has now gone.

Quite surprised to see a dusting of snow made it over the Pennines on it's western side. Only a dusting though, which has stuck because the ground is frozen solid. Mainly sunny at present.

Just woken up after radar watching till 6am, looks like we had more snow while i was sleeping but then a bit of a thaw. On a possivtive note its been snowing steadily here now for about 15mins or so, so we have about 2cm of lying snow on tree's grass ect... nothing on the pavements, maybe a little to warm. Hey, but it's snow and in milton keynes of all places too. I'm happy, now if it only got heavier and layed some more i could go make snow angels :D:D:D

Hi,

We had about 1cm last night (early hours), better than nothing i guess.

It keeps snowing lightly every now and then, hopefully more is on the cards for this way.

Well the snow shower has pretty well ended, still some grains coming down but the sky is brightening up. We had about 10 minutes of heavy snow which has given us a nice dusting. Hopefully some more heavy stuff to come.

One moderate snow shower around 9am for 40 mins or so, and another lighter one just now, very little lying snow. Still heavy cloud trundling overhead with some blue gaps.

7th snow shower of the day just passed here. Was a mix of snow and hail, and just aided the thaw like the previous 5. Now its just a dusting here and there, especially on grass and shaded pavements.

This afternoon looks good for all areas on the eastern side though, fingers crossed that nothing changes. As temperatures drop accumilations could become and issue.
