An overcast and misty start gave way to a mostly cloudy afternoon. A few cloud breaks did appear, but never enough to allow any sunshine. The evening then saw a thick fog develop, though this quickly cleared leaving partly cloudy skies. Temperatures were slightly above average for the time of year today, though the temperature has fallen rapidly in the last few hours.
