An overcast and showery start gave way to mostly cloudy conditions with occasional sunny spells. It then clouded over again, but remained dry. During the sunny spells in the afternoon the temperature rocketed, reaching 12.1°C - the highest maxima since November 11th 2005. Last night's minima was equally high, making today exceptionally above average.
