Mixture of sleet and snow currently falling in Bristol - been falling on and off for about the last couple of hours.

Just turned a little heavier, now got lighter again, now turned a little heavier again!

cheers andy. it's such a shame that the -10 air over the low countries now will arrive over the south east as the ppn is most likely clearing around midnight. damn. anyway we keep going from drizzle to sleet here in clapham

what a wintry mix on my way home from guildford this morning. :D fine snow started in guildford at about 0800, turned to larger flakes at 0930, but didn't stick. took high routes home, dusting at ewehurst and coldharbour near leith hill. was really coming down in dorking at about 1030 but was so wet so not sticking. most of verges along m25 from junc 9-6 had snow settling. best though was around warlingham where around 2cm had settled, the b279 towards westerham was a bit sludgy and slippy. light sleet here now, 2.2oC

I second that snowkissed.

Snowed non stop since 10:45am and yet to settle, flakes a little bigger then at first.

On journey across berks and wiltshire just now, at 1pm heavy snow was falling around Swindon, Settling well at Lambourn, and even down to about 120m (all but Swindon town itself).

Cotswolds not quite as cold, as snow lying only above 250m, but we do have 1.4cm now and the snow is pretty steady, moderate to occasionally on the heavy side (it's snowing a 6 out of 10 for intensity at the moment)

The pattern of the winter continues in NW Stratosshire: snow overnight but no more than a dusting really: certainly not enough to stick a ruler into on firm surfaces - 5mm perhaps.

Raining since 9.
