Just had our best shower yet, about 10 minutes of near blizzard conditions with flakes of the white fluffy stuff, shame it is all horizontal :):)

After a few light sleet showers during the afternoon, a 15 minute moderate/heavy snow shower swept through Aberdeen at 5.00pm. I'd anticipate these snow showers to occur every hour on average through the night.

Rain set in during the afternoon, but turned to wet snow, light snow here at the minute.

Same here, rain most of the afternoon but gradually changed to sleet the light snow. Stopped now.

Northerly winds have really picked up in Leeds, and steady light rain has turned abruptly to torrential sleet.

Just driven back to Newcatle and around the Scotch Corner area of the M1 I drove through an area of heavy snow. Nothing up here in Newcastle but those showers are getting closer. Will keep you infomed.

Had rain, then heavy sleet, then wet snow for about an hour. Nothing laid.

Went for a drive to the higher ground about 6pm during the wet snow in my town. The snow was falling much heavier above 600ft and a good dusting observed above 700ft. About 1-2cm lying snow in Woodland (1160ft asl) at 6.30 and heavy snow there.

Its all stopped now.
