Light snow falling, not laying on ground atm.

First flakes of snow falling now - some quite large but few and far between.

Not settling.

Wind getting stronger and gusty.

Westerly up to 20 mph.

Temperature is still up at 38.8F (3.8C) but it'll probably fall once the front has passed.

Pretty much continuous snow in Lerwick at the moment, all of it horizontal:

Blizzard conditions at times with drifting snow.

2-3 cms level snow with drifts of 12-14cms

About 1cm lying here in the sheltered spot in front of the house in the lee of the wind. about 5cm drifted up the back of the house

Heavy snow and hail through the night, left a 1cm covering. More snow this morning with big fat flakes. 2cm covering, 5cm in drifts. I love Northerlies

Stephen: I was up in the Clwydians at 6am with the dog, The Cheshire Plain was bathed in sunlight, but I noticed showers froming along the Dee Estuary and starting to stream down the Dee. Looked great!
