Plenty of snow up here today, about 15cm covering in general with drifts up the road 1m+, had to be ploughed out this morning. At least the wind has decreased today, just a bit gusting in the snow showers.

As I type it has just started snowing again.

Ok where do i start! I've never seen snow this bad in Aberdeen - EVER! Heavy snow showers occasionally merging to give a more prolonged period of snow. Probably close to a foot in the NW of the city. Amazing scenes here.

Well it has been quiet all day until now. Very dark clouds had gathered on the horizon and we have had a stonking heavy shower for the past 15 minutes and there is no sign of it lifting. Its that heavy a shower that it is settling very quickly

Considerably snow last night with an accumalation of 7cm in Yatton, less towards Bristol. Been snowing heavily on and off all day and flakes falling right now. Most of the snow mleted in the damn sun.

Woke Up to snow of 3-4 inches covering all surfaces, with further blizzards in the morning but afternoon sunshine, has thawed the snow on pavements in the sun, but plenty left on grassy areas and in the shade, hopefully more to come tongiht.

Had a heavy snow shower and some very gusty winds at 2.30pm, started to pitch but the shower was over before anything could really accumilate. The showers since then have seemed to pass to the east or west, but got a light snow shower 15 minutes ago. Looks like another is approaching from the north.

EDIT: Just started snowing again, beginning to settle

Flew into Gatwick at 17.30 ish.

Could see snow falling from clouds in Reigate/Leathehead area and some heavy cloud over south London.

Also a few cumulonimbus style formations running through the channel.

Afternoon update from Aberdeen. Another three or four prolonged snow events (too big to be called showers). About 6 inches/17cm of snow lying on the ground.

Same here although i work up in Altens and it's deeper there (100m) which much more drifts. Been a bit quiter here the past hour but I can see another beast of a cloud encroaching on the northern horizon.

Just had 30 minutes of decent snow (not that soft hail stuff that seems to have fallen for most of the day in this area).

Left about 1cm covering.
