A bitterly cold and clear night. The minima of -5.4°C was the lowest Ive ever recorded here in March, and the coldest since 31st December 2003. The day started off clear and sunny, but cloud built gradually into the afternoon and the evening saw heavy snowfall, with 1-2cm lying. The last few hours have been clear again, with the snow and surface water freezing hard. Temperatures were well below average for the time of year, though it did feel warm in the afternoon in the sun out of the wind again.
