It's been a beautiful day . A frost to begin and mostly sunny skies all day long. Hazier towards sunset. Max of 8c with a gentle NW breeze.

Light frost this morning after a clear night. Stayed cloudy and drab for most of this morning but beautiful sunny afternoon. Cloud gathering again now though. Top temperature was 7.9C and now at 5.5C.

Rather wet snow from about 0900 until 1115, minimal settling except above 430m where there was 1cm or so of fresh snow.

Much brighter after 1300 with long sunny spells during the afternoon.

The thin snow cover from showers late last night thawed by about 1100 but there are still plenty of patches of old snow remaining, cover is less than 10%.
