Report for Friday 10th March 2006, Readings taken at 00:00.

An overcast and dull day. It started off dry at first, but rain moved in during the early afternoon. It was heavy at times, though mainly drizzle. The last few hours have seen the wind veer to a strong north-easterly accompanied by a drop in dewpoint signalling the arrival of colder air. Temperatures themselves were below average for the time of year and felt chilly, especially in the evening.

Current Temp: 3.1°C

Max Temp: 7.6°C (at 10:12)

Min Temp: 3.0°C (at 23:23)

Humidity: 87%

Min Humidity: 80% (at 11:03)

Pressure: 1006.4hPa (Rising)

Dewpoint: 1.1°C

Wind: NNE (17mph)

Rain Today: 1.0mm

My March average currently stands at 3.2°C (-3.1°C Below the 1971-2000 average).

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
