I bought a little book today from Makro, with the above title. It's really good! It explains and shows pictures of all the different cloud types, explains how they forum, what phenomenon you will see with them and such.

I'm still new to all thins cloud stuff, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about clouds and weather.

Yes, I've got that book as well

Interestingly the Royal Meteorlogical Society sell it through their website, so I guess they must also think it's okay too!

A nice pocket sized guide :( Contains all the basics, with some decent photos, but isn't overly complicated.

Is that the one with the artist's impression of the Lynmouth Storm? If it is, I had a copy 40 years' back...It was the first book I bought, also! :D

I've just bought a book from ebay called 'Pocket Reference Guides - Weather'

    Seems a very good book.

    Contents:

    The Atmosphere

    Weather Systems

    Clouds

    Precipitation

    Winds

    Optical & Atmospheric Phenomena

    Climate

    Observing and Forecasting

I would recommend it to anyone if you can find it. I couldn't find it anywhere apart from ebay.

UPDATE: I've also just ordered the Collins book, thanks Essan for the link!
