After a brief sunny start cloud and heavy rain quickly moved in during the morning. It then became drier in the afternoon with a mixture of sunny spells and occasional showers, though these were more common later on. It was another very mild day for the time of year, with last night's minima the mildest since November 2nd 2005. Despite being mild, the wind was very strong throughout the day, taking the edge off the temperature.
