It's mostly rain in Aberdeen today but sleet did fall at Altens (90m) in Aberdeen at 5.50. Just rain at my house though.

At the end of a hailstorm there was a short spell of wet snow, since has turned back to rain as it has got lighter.

Sleety rain, then hail / rain this evening, but now snowing like billy-o up here on Stratos Moor: big wet flakes, and starting to settle. Only raining at lower levels though (<200m or so).

On the drive home from work at 10pm, there was some very heavy rain indeed which kept turning to sleet with some very large flakes.

Varied mix of light rain, heavy rain and sleet over the past 45 minutes.

Previous snow left a thin wet covering on the top of the lawns and on the thin surfaces of the car, bin lids and the coal bags outside. Suspect that the tops will be white in the morning: aah, Spring just as it used to be!
