3cm's??!! Are you sure?! I was up at 3am and would say 0.5cm was nearer the mark! Did you get any pictures?

I don't have any pictures.

But there was a whiteout of 50p size snow flakes at 2:30am

and 3cm on the ground in drifts, and also on my window sill :D

When i woke up again at 5am it was down to 1cm.

And down to 0.5cm by 6am.

It's virtually gone now as the temp is up to 3.7c.

I wonder if we will see any more snow tonight/tommorow.

It will probably be to mild today.

Well after a great thunderstorm last night about 9pm, this signalled a change to much

colder weather, and it was snowing steadily when I went to bed at 2am. Awoke to a

dusting of snow on cars/ grass etc....much to wet to stick to the roads though.

Currently heavy & frequent wintery hail/ sleet showers. :)

Hi Don,since I posted the snow has got much heavier and is starting to lay on the grass.

Update at 2-31pm,it is now starting to accumulate on roof surfaces as well.

Heavy snow, settled on rooftops and grassed surfaces, and highly unexpected. Temp fell to 0.6C.

HEAVY snow.

WOW.

Was rain previously, now, the clouds have really built and downdraughts have cooled things off enough to cause it to fall as snow.

MASSIVE FLAKES. AWESOME!
