Showers arrived by 0800 this morning and soon merged into long spells of moderate, occasionally heavy, rain. It became dry for a while during the early afternoon but more heavy showers arrived by 1500 (g.m.t ) with some short spells of torrential rain about 4 miles east of here.

Max' today was 11.0c after a min' last night of 5.4c and a grass min' of 0.2c.

A foggy start gave way to an overcast day with persistent heavy drizzle. It turned drier and brighter for a time during the afternoon, but the evening saw the arrival of heavy rain followed by thick fog. Temperatures were marginally above average for the time of year, though it felt rather cool in the rain despite a lack of wind.
