Seems the worst of the storms have moved NE away from Oklahoma city now, however they are intensifying and expanding all the time, and some of the cells on the OK Doppler (below) seem to have bow echo shapes and a hook towards the rear - indicative of tornado producing storms. Looking nasty for Ponca City and later Tulsa in the next few hours.

I've watched the situation in the USA for the last few days and all the warning areas etc have all been pretty much bang on. Now this is the silly part, surely anyone who is out there who had access to the doppler radar could see where the storms are forming and (by being in the warning areas) chase a storm for a lot cheaper then what you guys are gonna spend?

This post isnt a dig or anything like that, its just my over-simplistic take on it all ;)

So coming up to Peak Activity time over in the Target Area, some parts of Oklahoma at 90f today and things not going to Plan so far, wether the earlier storms have used up too much energy or things will go bang pretty soon is up for debate, but at present with 4500 Cape and LI Of -9 the lack of Cap today may have scuppered the Supercell outbreak from happening further west near the dry line iniatiation point. Still a few hours left yet though.

Yes Oz, Still a risk for Late Sunday so if we position ourselves correctly we could have some Lightning Shot Schooling and see if we can perfect the Bulb Settings to get those great CG Shots  ;)

All may not be lost however for Today, take a look at the latest radar, just to the South West of Lawton an absolute beaut of a Supercell forming South of Interstate40, this is a real area for risk of Tornadoes. Anyone got a radar image to show this cell for us.

PAUL Sherman

Has anyone got any Cams for Oklahoma city!!! This is tracking towards OK City and is an absolute Monster of a Cell!! This could be the dominant Storm of the Day
