Last night on the Met Office Rainfall radar chart there was huge echoes over Lancashire and the heavens opened it was coming down very heavily, storm drains just couldnt take the amount , this went on for over an hour.

Another wet, overcast and cool day. The rain in the morning was mostly light in nature with a drier spell during the afternoon. The evening saw the arrival of heavier rain, though this was relatively short lived. Temperatures were around average overall due to a below average maxima but above average minima. A wet month continues, with 99% of the expected monthly rainfall already.
