Hi all, this block patten continues  however we had a fantastic evening last night with Veteran Chaser Jim Leonard and Mike Tyheiss and there group, much beer consumed and storys swopped it was blinding through to 0200hrs ohhhh my head.

Anyway everyone who knows anything is saying they have never known one of these blocks to last this long with everything inc moisture pushing South and no return of new moist warm air flowing north we are all stuck! it is a nightmare for the Chasing Tour companys who have to find something for there guest to do!!

the sliver of hope that most people are looking to is this death ridge breaking down this weekend and so a return of some severe weather next week --- fingers crossed.

As for us we are staying yet another night in the Texas Panhandle and the Big Texan, a shopping day I think and hopefully meeting up with some friends tonight for a meal and more beer!

Lastly there is a chance for general Tstorms in the next few days and who knows they might provide some nice pictures we will look for every chance to chase something.

    cheers all, Steve.

Cheers Steve, sounds like you've found the next best thing to chasing storms - drinking plenty of beer and having a laugh!! Fingers crossed for you (and your liver!) that next week the block gives way..

Damn I was envious of you guys being over there as it was but now that you got to meet my hero - Mike Theiss - I am truly gutted. What I wouldn't have given to have been there with all of you guys last night hearing all those stories.

Maybe Severe Storms are unlikely but there are three Severe Thunderstorm warnings, two in Wisconsin and one in Illinois. :

How large is a nickel-sized hailstone?

A nickel is about the same size as our penny.

Hi you have to know a tad about distances involved how how long it takes to get there, those places you mensioned are like impossible to get to from our area and we wouldn't go there if we could the place is fall of trees!!! and big populations so its not very good for chasing many chasers feel the same way its just not a good option even if there are Tornado risk, but yes there was severe weather in the USA just not in the Alley.

As Steve has mentioned, some of the chase places are terrible. When we went to Mississippi it was terible chase country and took us 7 hours to get there from place we was staying in Texas. We just wanted to chase the storms and try and make the most of the trip.
