Now down to 6º here and bland, but at my Dad's the other side of Appleby, there's a Helm Wind blowing with a 10 minute average of 28mph and the wind chill is sub-zero (www.murton-weather.co.uk)

Plenty of rain this morning, between about 7 and 9am. 14mm, which includes a drop of rain from yesterday evening (I think). Dry all day after that with some sunny spells.

A changeable and windy day. Heavy showers this morning then a brighter afternoon with sunny spells & drizzly showers. The evening is cloudy and the wind has eased off.

Max 14c, temp now 12c.

Brief spell of heavy rain dropping 6.4mm then dry with sunshine from there on allowing the temperature to rise to a high of 16.2C then clouded over at about 3pm and the temperature is now down to 14.1C.

Overcast with moderate-heavy showers merging into longer spells of rain overnight and this morning.

28.6mm in the 24 hours to 0900 this morning and another 9mm since then.

100mm in the last 6 days means we're on target for the wettest May for 40 years if this keeps up.

Max' temp' of 11.2c early this afternoon but as the centre of the low moved to the east and a fresh NW wind picked up it's since fallen to 5.7c.

A rather chilly day today, maxed out at 8 Degrees Celsius :) . The sun appeared eventually and a lovely bright evening followed. Tomorrow does not look good!

An overcast and wet start gave way to a mostly cloudy day with occasional heavy showers. The majority of the day was cool, though during a drier period after midday it warmed up to near average. The rainfall today of 9.3mm means 64.4mm has now fallen in the last 11 days, with the monthly amount standing at 86.5mm, 199% of the monthly average with 9 days to go!
