Storm that passed through Essex about at about 1.30pm began with a flurry of snow. Turned to hard rain with some sleet mixed in, then the rain got lighter and then stopped 20 minutes later.

The morning was showery, sunny through the first half of the afternoon and now we have steady rain. A gusty wind throughout the day. Max 15c, temp now 12c.

Well I made it back and had a fantastic time in Alaska and the Rockies,the weather was warmer in Alaska than it felt in newcastle today and it was certainly a lot windier here. It is already down to 5.5c here and with a clear sky some frost hollows at least should experience some ground frost. I shall post my photos in due course

Report for Wednesday 24th May 2006, Readings taken at 23:15.

A mixture of sunshine and showers in the morning, followed by a sunny afternoon and evening. Most of the showers were just of rain, though the last one just after midday was thundery in nature with a mixture of heavy rain and hail. Temperatures were close to average for the time of year though it did feel cold in a strong wind.
