Cool here coops. I made the mistake of looking out the window, thinking; "oh! What a beautiful day", then taking the dog for a walk in shorts and a T shirt! It was a short walk. Some overnight radiation has cooled the ground and the lower troposphere in Deepest Darkest Devon! There's a great weather day to come though! No clouds, a pesky force 3 NE wind, which reduces the 15C actual temp to a nut-tightening 9C and wonderful visibility.

Gorgeous day! 22C, no cloud, wonderful warm sunshine. I don't think it could be better. It just beats anything we ever get after October and before April.

I know I'm thick, but I've just realised that it is the feast of St. Swithin today......... and here's the Met office rainfall radar for 1300hrs.

http://www.met-office.gov.uk/weather/europ...adar/index.html

The old saint is predicting a long, hot summer. I'm not sure he'll be correct in 2006, despite the complete absence of rain this afternoon.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
