Perfect weather for a BBQ this evening, after a high of 27.1c its currently 25.0c with hazy sunshine and no breeze.

Had very similar temps to you Intrepid, with 6pm temps of around 26c but not sure what my max was. I'm sure it was something similar to yours.

Some high cloud now with lines of turrets.

Sea fog started rolling in (we are about 8 milesfrom the east coast) at around 9 pm and now the sky is completely covered, hopefully the sun will burn it back tomorrow morning.

Same here in Stanley and feeling a lot cooler.

Cannot understand why the 10:35 BBC weather said an uncomfortable night "especially for North East England" :(

What an amazing day!

I recorded 34.3C here in Rosliston, South Derbyshire - the hottest day I've recorded! The official Met Office station in Coton-in-the-Elms just 1 mile down the road reached 34.5C, so I'm pleased with today's comparison.

Report for Wednesday 19th July 2006, Readings taken at 23:55.

Another clear and sunny day, though cloud gradually built during the evening until it became overcast. The last few hours have since seen fog move in from the North Sea. Temperatures were extremely disappointing compared to many other areas due to a persistent easterly sea breeze. However this did make it feel much more comfortable.

Current Temp: 16.1°C

Max Temp: 25.6°C (at 15:13)

Min Temp: 13.3°C (at 05:47)

Humidity: 83%

Min Humidity: 55% (at 15:17)

Pressure: 1015.4hPa (Falling)

Dewpoint: 13.2°C

Wind: E (3mph)

Rain Today: 0.0mm

My July average currently stands at 18.6°C (+2.2°C Above the 1971-2000 average).
