    I don't know if it was just here that seen this but on the backedge of the cold front we

    had some of the worst hail ever here with thunder & lightning, some hailstones broke car windows and were a good

    few cm across, after the hail stopped it left 35cm in places.

    Does anyone remember this or have any radar images.

    I'm not yet sure where to go to find archives of radars but I can certainly say that after a beautiful clear morning, a line of well-defined Cbs came along from the west and withing minutes a huge sheet of wet snow and sleet battered against my window. It was quite cool actually because it was dead calm beforehand but when the precipitation came down, the trees started swaying like mad. Also, being 3.30, it was beginning to get dark so seeing lightning would have been much better - only there wasn't any.
