Thunderstorm currently here in Belfast. Seems to be mostly out to the north and west from where i am. A few flashes and rumbles now and again, although belfast city airport is on a severe thunderstorm warning atm :) .

Just confirming previous reports of thunder and lightening throughout the afternoon. Ballycastle (North Antrim coast) and Belfast. Still persistent rain and the odd quiet rumble.

Looking at the radar we could be in for some more after dark....heres hoping! :D

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the first 3 cracks of thunder sound overdubbed onto the film, particularly the second and third ones - infact the third one is definetly fake, I'm sure of it.

erm i think it may be to do with the fact i opened my window around the second crack of thunder.

A bit late this post, but there certainly was quite an intense t-storm here (just north of Belfast) between 2.30-4pm yesterday with frequent, predominantly sheet, lightning and a lot of thunder. The rain at one point was torrential turning roads into rivers in minutes. Impressive squall line just ahead of the storm which i took some pictures of - will try and post them later if I can work out how to.

Had three short-lived showers here, not very heavy, but with one rumble of thunder after each. All the heavy stuff is centered over Wales at the mo.
