Some very large and heavy spots of rain here and thunder heard in the distance. It has been getting very dark here for the past half hour or so.

Yep, Sussex and Kent look to see a few localised t-storms with heavy downpours clearing SE inthe next hour or two.

Had very heavy rain and one rumble of thunder between 5-6am this morning. Just grey here now.

Heavy rain and a couple of 'boomlets' early this morning. Some sunshine for a while with high humidity and clouds shooting up quickly. We now have very dark skies and quite frequent rumbles of thunder approaching from the west and some large drops of rain just starting. :)

Hmm thats odd as our storm came from the North East, from the direction of Herstmonceux! Certainly weird weather out there at the moment. The storm has cleared off towards Brighton now but it is very overcast and still outside.

Hi, the radar loop suggests the developing storms over Sussex recently are moving from the NNW, though are building along a line from Brighton upto Kent :)
