    Its Cold.

    Its Wet.

    It's Windy.

    Its not August.

More like October, in fact, with a temperature of just 16c, the maximum for today! Its really set in, there's a constant cold wind blowing, gusty at times, with showery outbreaks of heavy rain.

Still, the rain so far is so little that its still dry and brown out, the marshland and springs on the edge of our town are dried like I've not seen in 10 years, my mum says they used to be like that, but for the past 20 years or so they've been large lakes, great for birds and even fish - but they've gone. Dried to the bone.

It's been a fine day with long sunny spells (cloudier 13-16.00) and a max of 21c. A gusty/blustery NE breeze which has eased this evening.

    Temp now 19c and sunshine.
