well mine was another disappointment, plenty of thunder until it got here!...lol

cloud structure was pretty good, lightening was pretty weak, rain was pitiful, just like a normal frontal rain.

thunder and lightning just now, more to the west than just overhead, but some breifly heavy rain too. Some cracking cloud to ground strikes, multiple forked lightning. looks nasty over there. now humid and 19c.

no sorry, i tried with the camera but the batteries ran out and i was too late before the sun came out n i couldnt see anything again. maybe better luck next time.

hi

just got back.

storms in this area from about 1500-17000, some lightning and thunder but not a lot, rain heavy at times, max rate was 25.4mm/hr at 1540. My rainfall total is always under what others in this area get but still measured 8.2mm, prob nearer 12mm is a better estimate for this particular area.

Just heard thunder in Northampton. Might come to nothing, we'll wait and see.

on second thoughts, never mind, a couple of rumbles and a flash was all.

Surprisingly the second storm of the day is inthe distance, seems very active. Thunder rumbling in over the hills every few seconds. Hills have now dissappeared from view :D

Storm here from 3 till 4.45. Heavy rain and thunder/lightning at around 2 per minute. Some fantastic cloud structures as it moved in, mammatus and swirling gust front cloud.

Thunder and lightning in Liverpool this afternoon from about 3.30 til 5pm. Loud thunder and seemed like alot of lightning, I was in work so couldn't see much really. I think it was overhead tho. Lots of heavy rain which lasted about an hour.

Looks to be all over here now , nothing exceptional apart from 1 C to C that seemed to be directly overhead and emptied most shops in town as people emerged to have a gorp :D .

rumbles of thunder from the north, cloud didn't look that threatening, lightning observed as a flash.

Storm passing over Nuneaton, with almost constant(!) lightning and heavy hail. It's also as black as night here, at the moment!

EDIT: Make that torrential hail!
