Well, not sure if this is the place, but parts of the east have been under alot of water today. Great Yarmouth in particular, but also many villages in the area too. Fire service had 400 calls or so in a very short time. Don't remember any warnings.

Although the site doesn't seem to be updating too well at the moment.

The fog finally cleared at 12.30pm (!), and since then the sun hasn't put in much of an appearance. Had a heavy shower at 4pm. A bit of a grotty day really.

After a warm, bright but cloudy and misty morning, it went very dark at around 1.30 and a line of heavy shiowers developed over us. Very slow moving and localised. It also went very muggy and still and murky. Still like that now.

Interesting to read how the fog stayed in mid Somerset then it was cloudy afterwards.

Here we had the first proper Autumnal fog, it lifted by 10.00 into low cloud which then quickly burnt off to leave long sunny periods. Max 20c and a gentle variable breeze.

    Clear now, 17c.

Presumably, OON, you must have been under the tiny red blob on the met' office' rainfall radar, that's a fair old deluge in two hours.

As for here, it's been a dry day with a few sunny intervals; thick cloud just to the east and relatively clear skies to the west, us on the dividing line.

Ridiculously warm again for late September, a max' of 18.1c after an overnight min' of 12.8c. Sunshine today, 1.01 hrs.

    Highest gust a meagre 12 mph NW at 1234 g.m.t .
