    I have now been able to complete my first proper analysis of data since i started recording last year. I'm fortunate enough to be able to use the 1971-2000 Met Office data for Aspatria as this is only 3 miles away and at a similar altitude.

    TEMPERATURE (Celcius)

    1971-2000 season means

    Winter 4.1

    Spring 7.9

    Summer 14.4

    MEAN 8.8

    2005/2006 season means and anomaly

    Winter 4.3 (0.2)

    Spring 7.6 (-0.3)

    Summer 15.6 (1.2)

    MEAN 9.2 (0.4)

    RAINFALL (mm)

    1971-2000 season means

    Winter 283.7

    Spring 184

    Summer 223.2

    MEAN 690.9

    2005/2006 season means and anomaly

    Winter 180.2 (63.52%)

    Spring 300.6 (163.37%)

    Summer 169.9 (76.12%)

    MEAN 650.7 (94.18%)

    As you can see Spring and Summer show the biggest fluctuations, particularly with rainfall. Summer showing a much warmer period.
