Proper heavy rain! wow! torrential downpour lasted an hour, relentless rain too! amazing. 22c max today, now 16c and quite humid after the monsoon rainfall. Some thunder and lightning mixed in too! Loud thunder, one strike of lightning to the east. Stopped now, but what a storm!

Quite a peculiar day. Started cool and showery, became bright and sunny, changed to sharp showers around lunchtime. Then cloudy, warm and very humid through the afternoon, more showers this evening. Breezy at times.

Ditto here, Andy, just not quite as warm as you and the showers haven't happened this evening. Peculiar describes my feeling about the day here too! Could I hell get the washing dry!

thought so went really dark here in stevenage around the same time swear we would get a storm but not as heavy as you got was waiting for the lightning
