With Low pressure anchored to our South West with Lows and Secondary Lows tracking across the country in the next 48-60 hours, we could have some Thunderstorms again, Please report them here over the next few days.

Well it lasted around 1/2 an hour- lots of thunder (even David Braine talked about it on BBC Spotlight) and some great sheet lightening. Surprising given just how cold it's been here since about 4pm.

Theres been some pretty bright forks of lightning across Eastern Kent this evening that I've seen while being driven back from Tonbridge. They weren't too frequent but that might have something to do with the torrential rain at the same time - the roads were flooded in many parts!

Wow we have had a storm here that was better than all summer storms combined. It has taken out the power in a 300 flat block!!! Amazing and came out of nowhere!!

Hi Nath,

In Hendon too!Came out of nowhere,in fact when i first heard noise outside i thought it was a plane crashing, since about 15minutes earlier, i was outside and there was not trace. Spectacular lightning too.

It's just appeared on the 23.30 Met Office radar just crossing the M25 boundary. Based on that, there could more to come tonight

I was playing poker on my pc and the screen went blank along with an explosion. My pc came back thanks to my external emergency power supply (Needed when playing poker for £££). All our other poweer was lost and has just come back on. Amazingly the broadband and phone were working all the time!!

The first strike (That caused the blackout) quite literally came out of nowhere, no rumbles or previous flashes at all. After the first strike came about 6 or 7 more with crashing thunder that shock the house!! Storm of the year easily!!!!!

By my reckoning, assuming it doesn't fade, it'll be with you in Stevenage by 12.30
