I was very surprised to see how low the dams were in the Goyt valley today. Even lower than they were a couple of months ago. Looks like they're going to have problems if they next few months don't top the levels up. Considering the Rain in Sheffield has been normal or above normal for the last few months I'd have thought the Goyt area would have had a lot more. Seems or not or the local populus is a rather thirsty one.

I also used this morning as the first trail of the gps I've got for my phone. All I can say is fantastic. Going to very useful in fog or areas of lying Snow when the signposting leaves a bit to be desired.
